About the coach
Jake's connection to the mountains started early. Growing up near the crags, he spent most of his childhood scrambling ridgelines, reading rock, and learning how weather shapes a climbing day. Today, as Cairn's Head Climbing Guide, Jake leads some of our most scenic and adventurous routes — from hidden crags to exposed multi-pitch lines. His sessions are known for being both educational and exciting, giving climbers the confidence to move safely. Jake believes climbing isn't just about movement — it's about awareness, control, and learning how to read the rock.
